COURSE SETTING

The Galatians course is another high water mark in the theological teaching of Dr. Cottle. One of his earliest college courses, it was originally filmed in the early 1990's. Dr. Cottle did a remake of the course in 2013 in the studios of Ron Cottle Ministries in Columbus, Georgia.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Journey with Dr. Cottle as he teaches through this "seed book of Christian Theology." Travel with the Apostle Paul as this amazing book of the Bible is born. In keeping with Dr. Cottle's style of teaching, the English text is studied with insights from the Greek and Hebrew. Special emphases is given to the background of the letter, Law versus Grace, the meaning of Apostleship, Flesh versus Spirit, and the Law of Sowing and Reaping.

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:

○ Understand and appreciate the Book of Galatians, its contents, its author, and its place in our Christian faith; (comprehension, evaluation, valuing)

○ Probe critical and valuable theological issues as they are given in the text of Galatians; (comprehension, analysis, evaluation)

○ Examine the background in the early Church and the first century world of the Gospel truths presented in the book; (analysis, evaluation, comprehension)

○ Apply this extremely relevant and inspiring book to his own Christian life and faith today; (receiving, value complex)

○ Glean valuable insights from the original biblical languages and historical context

Dr. Ronald E. Cottle

Dr. Ronald E. Cottle is the Founder and President Emeritus of Christian Life School of Theology (CLST Global), the Founder and President of Beacon College in Columbus, Georgia, the Founder and President of Cottle College and a former President of the Assemblies of God Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. He received a diploma in Theology from Southeastern Bible Institute, Lakeland, Florida, a B.A. in English-Religion, Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, the M-Div. from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, South Carolina, and both the Ph.D. in Religion and the M.S.Ed. and Ed.D. in Higher Education from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Dr. Cottle and his wife of sixty-plus years, Joanne reside in Columbus, Georgia and have one son, Ron Jr.
